Courtesy Posting: SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA (LEMON GROVE AREA IN S CAL)- BEAUTIFUL FEMALE CHOW 'CHLOE' WHOSE OWNER SADLY PASSED AWAY- IN NEED OF A LOVING, FOREVER HOME SHE DESERVES Please help us find a loving and forever home for dear Chloe, whose owner recently passed away where she lived since a young puppy. A family member is currently taking care of her but may not be able to hold her much longer due to other small pets. We are told Chloe is approximately 4 years of age and the family stated, 'she is good around people once she knows them. But she growls at first. She is stand offish at first. But once she knows you she is sweet. After two weeks of visiting, she built a relationship with us.' Chloe may need to be brought current on shots as they could not find records, and will need to be spayed as a condition of her adoption, and this may be sponsored. With other dogs, we were told, 'When we walk her down the street, she barks at dogs who bark at her. She barked defensively. She was redirected and okay.' She has also had issues over food at times with the other dogs in the home. They clarified she 'is fine with the yorkie, but not with the other dog. They rival for attention.' As a result, the dogs are separated from her, and she is currently living outside in a covered area. However, the family believes she was a house dog before, and also potty trained. Chloe has no reported bites the family was aware of. The family has known and been visiting Chloe over the years. They do not how she might do with other dogs, cats or small children, the latter she has never been around so a meet and greet would be requested.
