About Brodie

Hi - My name is Brodie A1251364 and I am a lab shepherd mix at Char Meck Animal Care and Control. I will be put to sleep forever on Nov 10th if I don't find a savior. I am just a baby at only 11 months and have been very scared in the shelter - I have been here for 2 months and this is all I can remember. My owners didn't want me and just left me outside for someone to find. I am worried that this is all I will know and my short life will end here. The barking and small kennel all day long is starting to upset me and I have developed kennel stress. The volunteers take me out and try to reassure me that it will be ok but I am just a baby and am very scared and confused. - I am a stunning, lanky puppy with the softest black fur and most adorable ears. I am underweight at 50 lbs and will probably be a bigger boy when I get up to a reasonable weight. I am so stressed that I pace all day long and sometimes grab my leash. - When I get time out of my kennel I absolutely LOVE playing with balls! BALL IS LIFE FOR ME! I just wonder when I might get to play with one again and am so sad when the nice people put me back and I have to wait a day or two to have someone else come and give me attention. - I am a very smart boy and know sit already! I am a young, active working breed puppy so I need someone that understands working breeds or is ready to spend time with me and train me! I am just a baby and will need guidance. - I love to run and chase balls so would do best in a house with a back yard!! - I have been in a foster home and am potty trained. - I am so stressed that it may take me a minute to open up but when I do I have so much love to give! I might even try to sit in your lap like I do with some of the nice volunteers! - I am very stressed and should not be introduced to any dogs until I have had plenty of time to decompress. I have been friendly with dogs in foster but need to know I am safe before any intros are done. Please keep toys and food separate (as you should do with any new furry friend in the home). - I think cats look a little too much like toys so I can't be around them (who wouldn't be confused, they are so furry!?!) - I like to have fun and be around people so it is very stressful when I get to spend so little time with them. I really just want to have a home to call my own - will you be the one to save me?? - The shelter has said that at this time I must be adopted or go to rescue. Please help me find a rescue or someone to adopt me. I can be fostered through a rescue but I need someone that will be committed to fostering me through to adoption.
