CHILI is a 4 year old, 12.8 pound Terrier mix surrendered to us because his owner wasn't allowed to have him at her rental. He is a happy, loving little dog who just wants to be with his person. CHILI is an adorable little dog with the sweetest disposition and the cutest little beard. He loves food, treats, and attention. When he wants something, especially snacks or to be picked up, he'll sit back and wave his front paws in the air to get your attention, which is just as cute as it sounds! He's definitely a lap dog and loves being held, giving kisses and cuddling up close, especially at bedtime. He follows his foster mom everywhere, eager to be loved and included in all the day's activities, and sleeps right next to his foster mom's head every night. CHILI is good with other dogs, though he doesn't engage in much play, and he'd do fine as an only dog or in a home with other small dogs. He can be lap possessive and just needs to learn he's not always top dog and can share. His behavior with cats is unknown. He should be fine with older kids. CHILI is house-trained and uses a doggie door to go outside for potty breaks. He hasn't had any accidents in the house so far. He walks well on a leash but would do best with a fenced yard where he can run around freely. He's a great passenger in the car and isn't much of a barker, something that probably helped him stay undetected in his previous owner's apartment for so long. CHILI has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, neutered, heartworm negative, has had a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *A Place of Hope Rescue is a foster-based rescue located in Pensacola, Florida.
