About Leo

Leo and Kenny, along with ten other dogs, were owned by a woman who used to breed them. Unfortunately, she developed frontotemporal dementia, which progressed very quickly, and the dogs were not being properly cared for. She is gradually allowing her family to find homes for the dogs, but she is reluctant to part with any of the females. However, we remain hopeful that she will eventually surrender them. Leo is a 14-pound sweetheart with a big heart and an even bigger love for companionship. Like his buddy Kenny, he wants to be near his people (and his doggie friends) at all times - if you're looking for a little shadow to follow you everywhere, Leo is your guy! He's gentle, affectionate, and loves nothing more than curling up close or resting his head in your lap. Leo thrives on routine and attention, and he feels most secure when surrounded by love and familiar faces. Leo also enjoys the company of other small dogs and would do best in a home with at least one canine companion. He's playful but not pushy, and his calm, loyal personality makes him the perfect match for someone who spends a lot of time at home. Like Kenny and Bambi, Leo's been part of a close-knit little friend group - so if your heart (and couch) has room for more than one, he'd be thrilled to be adopted with one of his pals!
