Bookie is a Husky, 55 pounds. He was brought to a TX shelter when his family didn't want him anymore. (I foster shelter dogs, train them, and find them good homes. I'm a credited Dog Trainer and Canine Behavioral Specialist.) He grew up his whole life with his sister. He's 4 1/2 now. I have never seen a dog so depressed. He was over everything. He didn't move. He didn't eat. I'd ask him how he was doing and he would answer in a low sad voice. After getting him out of the shelter it's been amazing to see his personality come out. He's happy and full of life. He loves playing and being outside. When he's not playing he's actually, very laid-back. He really enjoys his toys and treats and training. He is the coolest husky I have ever gotten to know. He does talk, but it's in a very low voice and it's only a handful of times in the day. It feels like a pleasure to hear him talk to you. He's beyond sweet and loves snuggling with you on the couch or at night. He gets along great with all dogs. I've done a lot of socializing with him and he is always very appropriate. I'm hoping to find him a home with another dog And yard to run around in. Bookie is a pleasure to have in your life. He has personality for days.
