About Buddy

Adoption Fee: 500
Lab mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

This sweet 2-year-old Lab mix made his way to Cedarburg, WI on 9/6 thanks to Mutt Life Dog Rescue, and he's now settling beautifully into his foster home. After being surrendered to a Georgia shelter when his owner could no longer care for him, Buddy waited patiently for a second chance - and now he's finally getting it. Buddy is doing super well in his new environment. He's a happy, friendly, and easygoing guy who just wants to be near his people. At 67 lbs, he's a gentle giant with a calm presence and the softest heart. He may be a little cautious at first, but once he trusts you, he's incredibly loyal and affectionate. He's already neutered, house-trained, and heartworm negative. His former owner shared that he's great with dogs, cats, and kids - and so far, he's living up to that reputation. He's currently sharing his foster space with another dog and doing wonderfully. Buddy walks nicely on leash, doesn't pull, and enjoys taking things at a relaxed pace. His foster mentioned that he also does great as a running partner and loves going on hikes. Buddy would be a great fit for a variety of homes, especially one looking for a low-key, mature companion. He's respectful of older or more mellow pets and isn't the type to constantly pester for play. He's just looking for love, routine, and a safe place to call home. Now that he's safe, all Buddy needs is a forever family to complete his journey. Could that be you?
