
Meet Brownie! Brownie made it safely to Wisconsin from the shelter and is doing super well in his foster home. He's proving to be a truly wonderful dog - happy, easygoing, and full of love. Brownie gets along with everyone he meets, including other dogs and kids, and would make an amazing companion for just about any home - a family, a single person, or a couple. This handsome, well-mannered boy is about 1.5 years old and weighs around 55 lbs. He's best guessed to be a Labrador mix and has a friendly, gentle temperament. Brownie enjoys playing with other dogs, whether it's energetic puppies or more dominant personalities, and he handles group play beautifully. He's does well in his crate and is working on leash skills, but he's a quick learner and eager to please. With continued love and structure, Brownie is sure to blossom into an even more amazing companion than he already is. Apply: Fill out adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents. 2.)Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. �'��3.)Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: after approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure its the right fit. 4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. The procedure MUST be done at HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, we will reimburse $150 once we receive proof of the procedure.
