Apollo is a very loyal, good boy. We love him very much. He gets along w/ other dogs, but is territorial. He does not do well with small dogs that may trigger him (he's reactive - if they run up barking his instinct is to protect) so proper fencing and safe guards are necessary for him (if an animal runs towards him barking, he will react, especially if no one is around). He does not like cats or chickens. He does well with the 3 other dogs in our home and does well with our children. Recently unfortunately he had an incident with our neighbors dog through the fence and that's what's led us to looking to rehome him. He needs a strong person who's able to give him the time he needs (which really he doesn't take a lot, he loves pets, short walks, snuggles and snacks). But he needs someone who will properly supervise him and ensure proper safeguards on their property. He's never had any incidents at doggy daycare and he goes there often. We want to ensure whoever would be able to help him out is ready to properly take care of him. He will be 8 in December 2025. He's fixed. He was registerable (AKC) when we got him but we weren't interested in registering because he's a family pet and was not being bred. Serious inquiries only. He is very loved here and this is a very unfortunate situation that breaks our hearts because he really is such a good boy.
