About Genie

High energy herding dog with no where to put all this energy. She loves to have a task or mission and loves to learn new tricks for treats. She knows sit, stand, circle, lay down, wait, touch (nose to hand), hand (paw in hand), bring it back (fetch). She is stubborn but will listen when she wants to or if given a good treat. She had a rough start in life, living outside competing with a dozen other puppies. This shows in her behavior, getting anxious at things happening she doesn't understand or snarling in her crate as she eats her food. She is house trained, crate trained, and has experience being in fenced in yards or on a leash tie out with supervision. She is a good girl and wants to be praised. She doesn't like much petting but wants some firm butt pats. Unfortunately, I am very allergic to Genie and my parents' cat hates her, so she isn't given much freedom. She needs a good home where she can have more space and attention. She loves to play fetch with small Chuckit balls. She will destroy any soft toy within minutes, but she enjoys doing so.
