About REBA

REBA is an adorable 2 year old, 6 pound Chihuahua mix. She came into rescue after being dumped with several other dogs in someone's yard, and although her start was rough, she's ready for a new life with her forever family. REBA's personality is a mix of sweetness and caution. With her foster family, she is absolutely precious, sweet as pie, and full of snuggles, kisses, and loyalty. But she's still very skittish around new people and may fear bite if she feels threatened or a stranger tries to pick her up. She needs someone who will give her the time and space she needs to trust, and once she does, she becomes the most loving little sidekick you could ask for. REBA is completely at ease with other little dogs. She's playful, submissive, and enjoys inviting small to medium-sized pups to play by flopping onto her back and showing off her belly. She's just a fun, gentle spirit who loves doggy friends and we are looking for a home with another little dog, or dogs, to be her best friend. She should not go to a home with kids and we do not know how she would be with cats. REBA is fully housebroken and uses a doggy door to go outside, whether it's to do her business or just watch the birds in the yard. She is too little to be outside on her own though and she would love your company while she is exploring the yard. She needs more practice walking on a leash and we are looking for a home with a fenced yard to keep her safe. At night REBA sleeps either in the big bed with her people or in her own dog bed in the bedroom if she gets too warm. She has been to the vet for a wellness check, is up to date on shots, spayed, heartworm negative, has had a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. We adopt to homes within a 1-6 hour drive to Pensacola. Puppies and dogs with pending vet appointments, and some dogs with behavioral or medical issues are only adoptable locally.
