Adores people and bonds deeply with her family. We found her abandoned about a year ago, and she's since become a loving, affectionate companion who enjoys cuddles, car rides, and quiet time at home. She is the second of a two-dog household where she gets along great with the other dog in the home: 11 year old minerature schnauzer. She walks nicely on leash, knows basic commands, and handles well for the vet and grooming. Around humans she's friendly, eager to please, and thrives with clear routines and calm, confident leadership. Dog-reactive with a strong prey drive. Zero aggression. She has had four incidents involving small dogs in the past year while leashed; triggers appear to be close proximity and fast movement. She's managed with distance, always leashed in public, no dog parks, and controlled, structured walks. She must be the only pet (no dogs, cats, or small animals) and needs an experienced adopter with a secure, fenced yard and a commitment to ongoing training and management. She's a wonderful, people-oriented dog in the right environment-we're rehoming her because this level of reactivity is more than our household can safely manage.
