This little sweetheart was found wandering around near a freeway. He is currently in foster care. While we have reported him to Seaside Animal Control, we are unwilling to release him to a shelter when we have a foster willing to keep him in her home. He was taken to Aguajito Animal Hospital in Monterey - he is not microchipped. He has had bloodwork done to rule out any infectious diseases, he's been de-wormed and he has been treated for fleas (ticks and heart worm). Our guess is that he is a Sheppard mix and probably 2 months old at the most. Not sure how long he was out on the streets but he is very timid. He warms up quickly though and has a wonderful, calm disposition. He is now potty trained and he gets along well with other dogs. We have a local rescue organization who is offering a discounted rate for vaccines and neutering. Just need to find him a family.
