With a heavy heart, we've made the difficult decision to rehome our beloved Border Collie, Gretta. We're reaching out in hopes of finding her a loving home where she can be the only dog. While Gretta enjoys playing with other dogs, she has shown that she truly thrives when she has her own space and undivided attention. Gretta is 4 years old (born April 3, 2020) and is a smart, energetic, and affectionate companion. She knows basic commands like sit, wait, and place, is kennel trained, and is well leash-trained. She's up to date on all vaccinations and recently received a 3-month flea and tick preventative. As a typical Border Collie, Gretta has a strong desire to control her environment, which is common in herding breeds. Because of this, she does best in a calm, structured home without other pets. She can be protective of her favorite people, toys, bones, and food bowl, so she needs an owner who understands resource guarding and can provide consistent boundaries and support. Gretta loves staying active, being mentally stimulated, and being included in the conversation. She truly acts like a little person in a dog's body. She will thrive with an experienced, patient owner who appreciates her intelligence and unique personality. She will come with everything she needs, including her kennel, leash, harness, collar, food bowls, shampoo, and more to help her transition into her new home as smoothly as possible. If you are looking for a loyal, high-energy companion and can offer Gretta a stable, loving, one-dog home, please reach out.
