About Opie

Say cheese! Opie is always camera ready with that heart-melting smile. Opie is a very good boy who is about 2- to 3- years old and weighs 45 pounds. Get ready for love at first sight when you meet this sweet, young hound mix from the Cranston, RI Animal Shelter! He is active and happy, and incredibly adorable. He loves to run and play, but he's also fond of cuddling and belly rubs. He knows all of his basic cues and is eager to learn and please. Opie is a well-socialized and well-adjusted dog who loves everyone he meets. He enjoys being with people and going on walks, but running around a backyard off leash really brings him joy. Though he has dog friends, he'd prefer being your one and only fur kid. Kids 10 and older preferred. No cats. The reason why Opie landed in the shelter is because his owner fell ill and was no longer able to keep him. He continues to smile, ever hopeful he'll find a new home soon.
