About Trapper

Trapper is a one-year-old Great Pyrenees/Great Dane/Anatolian Shepherd mix (DNA tested!) and the very definition of a gentle giant. This sweet boy has been through more than any dog should. Someone shot him when he was 9 months old. Because of that, he's still learning that people can be kind. Loud noises, especially gunshots and fireworks, are understandably scary for him. Trapper is currently taking Fluoxetine to help ease his anxiety, and it's making a big difference. He may not always need it, but for now, it helps him feel safer as he heals both inside and out. Trapper does well with other dogs and lives with four in his foster home. He can be cautious at first when meeting new canine friends, but he relaxes quickly once he knows they mean no harm. At heart, he's a calm, steady boy who loves to chew on bones and just be near his people. He will need a physically fenced yard where he can safely run and explore. Trapper is still a puppy in many ways, but one with an old soul who's ready for love and stability.
