*~*~* ADOPT ME *~*~* Meet Gilbert! He was found abandoned by his former owner, tied to a fence in pretty bad shape. We know no history beyond that. Moving forward he's been in foster care. We have learned a lot about this special fellow. Gilbert stats - - Gilbert is a Poodle, around 5 yrs old, just under 20lbs. He's a touch chubby. - Gilbert LOVES food. He would probably eat himself to death if someone let him. Will need an owner who can monitor that. - Gilbert LOVES other dogs. It's rather OCD at times as he can be annoying and in their face. He will lick them and follow like a feeder fish. He should only be placed with another dog that would enjoy his extreme admiration. He might be better suited as an only dog as well. - Gilbert is working on his manners currently. We are almost housebroken, but would need a strict encouraging routine moving forward. He knows some basic commands, but will need further guidance on how to dog properly. - Gilbert has the potential to become your best friend. He needs some with patience and someone with love in their heart. Once he realizes he won't be abandoned again he should settle well into routines. He's kinda a dork, but underneath all the fluff he's rather true to the deep poodle characteristics: lively-spirited, trainable, friendly, loyal and thrives on attention.
