About Lara

Meet Lara! This 6-month-old, 40-pound sweetheart is an adorable mystery mix, we think she is part malinois/german shepherd, though your guess is as good as ours. What we do know is that Lara is all about play. She has puppy energy and thinks everything is a toy: actual toys, slippers, zooming kids, you name it, she's ready to bounce. Because she sees children as playmates, she'll need guidance on gentle interactions while she outgrows those sharp little puppy teeth. Lara is incredibly smart and eager to learn. She loves training sessions, picks up new cues quickly, and is already working on polite leash walking. She rides beautifully in the car and sleeps quietly in her crate at night. During the day she may whine for attention, she just really loves being with her people. Like any young pup, she's still learning her manners and will thrive with an adopter committed to continued training, structure, and lots of love. Lara is very sweet and human oriented but is not for everyone. She's a land shark and not in a cute way. She's a dog with a drive, and active engagement is how she'll thrive, not outsourced puzzles or games She needs an owner who will commit to training as she still a very much a nippy/bitey puppy.
