My name is Lisa. This past Saturday I saw two abandoned doggies hanging around a junkyard. So skinny and hungry with the sweetest temperaments. Gave them what food I had with me. He (red pit) walked off and let her eat first. I came back Sunday ,in the rain, with more food. I was pretty wet, about to give up and leave when she came trotting up to me, inhaling the food quicker than I could get it out. After a minute or two, he comes out to do the same. They were so skinny, scared, dirty and shaking like tree limbs. I just could not walk away and leave them there. From what I understand she was just dropped off at a stop sign. I am glad she found him to help her along. Both times he let her eat first. She looks to him, trusts him, doesn't stray far from him and is stressed if she can't see/be with him. He's a sweetie, soaks up a loving touch, pressing into it like saying hold me never let me go. She's a scared little girl, jumps when you touch her. I don't think she knows what love is. But she will get close and sniffy sometimes playful. She lets me touch her a little now. Someone just needs to give her time and show her lots of love. A shelter would definitely traumatize them both but especially her. My roommates are livid with me. I have 6 large dogs already. 2 more is too much. I am disabled and use a wheelchair making things much harder. Not to mention lack of money. Rest assured they eat before I do. Those pleading little eyes, so scared and yet hopeful deserve everything I can do. I refuse to take them to a kill shelter. After having them 6 nights now I am beyond exhaustion and my other dogs aren't getting the time and space they need. I cannot keep this up. Dear God please, please help me save these precious souls, someway somehow. I have not been able to find a home for them. I need someone to pick up this torch and carry it on for me. They deserve a second chance at life, a good life. Full of hugs and kisses and never going hungry or being scared again! Lisa 901-277-5774
