Male Neutered | Texas Heeler | Approx. Age: 3 y/o Stabler is a complex soul with a big heart and a fighter's spirit. His story began on a farm in Texas, where his mom's pregnancy was tragically interfered with - he was the only survivor of his litter. From the start, Stabler proved he's a survivor in every sense of the word. He's a handsome, intelligent Texas Heeler who loves to play fetch, run, and wrestle with our Labrador. He thrives on structure, enjoys being outdoors, and absolutely adores his dad. He's happiest when he has a job to do and someone he trusts by his side. Stabler does have neurological and behavioral challenges. After multiple vet visits, medical testing, training, and consultations with behaviorists, it's been determined that his behavior stems from underlying neurological issues - best described as 'episodes' of aggression that can be triggered unpredictably, often around food, at home, or when he feels protective. He has bitten during these episodes and will need a home that fully understands and respects his boundaries. Despite this, he has a gentle side. He has shown no aggression toward our child, and he's affectionate and goofy in his good moments. But because his triggers are unpredictable, we feel it's safest and kindest to find him a home better suited to his needs. Ideal Home 'ۢ Single, active male or calm, confident handler 'ۢ Rural or large property setting 'ۢ No small children or frequent visitors 'ۢ Comfortable managing a dog with behavioral challenges 'ۢ Patient, experienced with working breeds, and able to provide structure and calm leadership We love Stabler deeply, but keeping him in an environment where he feels anxious or conflicted isn't fair to him. He deserves a chance to thrive somewhere that matches his unique personality and needs. If you believe you can offer Stabler a safe, structured, and understanding home, we'd love to talk. He's not an easy dog, but for the right person, he'll be fiercely loyal, full of life, and forever grateful.
