LOCATED IN PRESCOTT ARIZONA Our adoption questionnaire is at www.socalweimrescue.org/pages/adopt Originally Ivy was surrendered to us by her owner because of her being submissive, her sibling Doberman would beat up on her to the point she'd quiver in fear in the shower. They decided to find her a home where she is loved by all and not constantly having to hide. She came to us and was adopted a couple months ago and we are being asked to find her a better home because she needs more encouragement with a family home a little more often than they are. She get so attached that she gets some separation anxiety if left crated. While she was in foster with us she was allowed to free roam with access to outdoors through doggy doors and she did great! Current adopter has no outside access because of an HOA so it's been a challenge leaving her crated indoors. She is beautiful inside and out. She is a darker very shiny Blue and loves all toys. She is a little shy at first but blossoms as she gets to know you. She is crate trained and reliably house trained. She doesn't know any real tricks but is very willing to please and learn. She knows what farm animals are and tends to just leave them alone. She has lived with kids, large and small dogs and even gets along with cats. Get a jump on this girl. She won't last long with her winning smile! We've learned that she is submissive and not bothered by any of the fosters she has been with. She is dainty and gentle and responds to baby talk when she's feeling scared. She can fool you into thinking she will be afraid forever then suddenly is outgoing and friendly dropping a squeaky toy into your lap. She initially likes small spaces until she decides she can trust to come out then does a complete 180. She will make a perfect companion for another dog who does not like to be overwhelmed. Ivy is good on a leash after her initial excitement of pulling. She is smart, eager to please and house trained as well as taught herself to use the doggy door.
