About Deebo

Deebo is my daughter and her ex boyfriends dog. My daughter moved out and left Deebo. We have done our best with him, but cannot provide what he needs in terms of correct exercise and all that heeler breeds need. Because my daughter kept him extremely isolated and did not provide him with much socialization he is an anxious unsure dog with very high energy. We have 3 other dogs in the home. He gets along fine with our females (one is actually his pup) but our male German shepherd and him will fight if given the chance. I'm sure it doesn't help that Deebo is not neutered. That makes it extremely difficult for us to keep them separated. Especially with Deebos high energy. He spends his time in my daughters room or in our front yard. The other 3 dogs are kept separate in our back yard. I know he is very lonely and it breaks my heart, but my hands are tied. We don't know what to do. Having said all of the above, Deebo really is a sweet boy. He wants attention and love. I know without a doubt he will thrive in the right home environment. Someone that has knowledge of his breed and will give him the attention, love and exercise he desperately needs. He is very very smart and knows some tricks and would be happy to have a job and learn more. He needs an owner that wants a working dog and will provide him with a job. He is truly the sweetest boy. Timid and anxious at first, but he craves attention and love so much, I know he would quickly bond to whoever gives him a chance. Deebo is safe and taken care of, but his environment is far from ideal given the situation and the fact my daughter left him here. We are doing our best with him, but are hoping there is someone out there that can give him the life he deserves. I'm not sure how much longer we can keep doing this. It causes a lot of stress and anxiety in our household. We didn't plan on our daughter leaving him when she left, but it happened and we are just trying to do the right thing for Deebo.
