Zadie is a gentle giant. She is a 6 year old Anatolian Shepherd that we adopted from the streets of Turkey when she was a puppy. She is great with humans, adults and older children (though she prefers adults), but does not love other dogs and cats. She does get along wonderfully with some dogs, but she can be unpredictable about which dogs she likes and does not. She is fully house trained and knows basic commands. Her breed can be reserved and aloof, and while Zadie is friendly and sweet and loves a good belly rub, she likes her space and isn't a cuddly dog. Her favorite things to do include taking naps and lounging inside the house, surveying in the yard for hours, chewing on bones, slowly smelling her way through walks, and getting treats (especially chicken and dairy!). We adore our girl, but our family needs are changing and we realize that Zadie would be much happier with more space and stability to live out the rest of her years.
