Meet Maybe, The Cuddly, Clever, One-in-a-Million Girl Looking for Her Second Chance... Maybe is the kind of dog who changes you. She's bright, deeply loyal, and endlessly affectionate with her people and a handful of others that she comes to know, trust and love. She's the kind of companion who seems to read your mind and knows exactly when you need a nudge, a paw, or a snuggle. Her person has worked tirelessly to help her thrive since she was a shy and fearful puppy, and it shows. Maybe has come such a long way: she's learned to trust, to find joy in her days, and even made friends with the staff at her beloved doggy daycare, a huge accomplishment for a girl who once struggled with strangers. She absolutely shines when she's around other dogs, and she'd likely do best in a home with a canine companion who can help her feel confident and secure but it's not a dealbreaker. Unfortunately Maybe's story has taken a heartbreaking turn. With the arrival of a newborn baby, her sensitivity and reactivity was triggered in a way no one could have anticipated. For everyone's safety, her family had to make the very painful decision to find her a new home. It's a decision made out of love, not convenience, and her person's heart is absolutely breaking. Maybe is looking for a very special home one without children, cats, or small animals tho small dogs are likely okay. She needs a dog-savvy guardian who understands that healing takes time and patience after losing the only family she's known since she was born, someone who will continue her training gently and consistently, and who will love her for the incredible, special, almost human like soul she is. In the right home, Maybe will give you everything she has: her devotion, her sweetness, her trust. She's the kind of dog who, once she lets you in, loves you with her whole being. it will take some time, a few weeks to let you in so if you're an experienced dog person or understands wounded soul's, and who believes in second chances, Maybe is waiting for you. She's ready to meet her person, the one who will make her feel safe, understood, and home for the last time. Maybe is, house trained, great in the car, does not have separation anxiety, does not resource guard, has moderate energy; a walk and playtime is fine. Good with dogs: she blossoms around them and they give her confidence. Not good with cats. Not good with kids. Age: 4. Breed: Australian Shepard mix (know the mother).
