About DEXTER

Before contacting us be sure your questionnaire is on file at www.socalweimrescue.org/pages/adopt This amazing 2 year old boy was found on the street after possibly being hit by a car. Nobody claimed him so he's now on the way to a new life with us. He had a fractured tibia that was repaired and doing great with a metal plate in place. But Dexter had a bout of inflammation at the surgical site and it was found he is rejecting the metal plate in his body. Off to surgery he goes again. He is our wonder dog! Now a couple more weeks to recuperate and he'll be good as new. The bone has healed really well and you can't keep Dexter down! Dexter is amazing...such a sweet personality. He loves to talk back to you....you'll feel like you're having a conversation with an actual grown up! He is a character and certainly loves his people and adores his senior foster sister. When Dex is totally healed he will be the best companion ever. Submit an adoption questionnaire and we can connect you to his foster who can spend hours bragging about Dexter and his antics. It's quite entertaining and very amusing. She can share videos that will make you smile. He's just a baby supposedly at 2 years old but you won't believe that. He is very puppylike.
