About Finn

Finn is a wonderful 1-year-old West Highland White Terrier who has brought so much joy to our family. He's affectionate, playful, and smart. He loves walks, car rides, meeting new people, and snuggling up at the end of the day. He's fully house-trained and crate-trained, knows several commands, and has a big personality that makes him easy to love. That said, Finn needs a very specific type of home to thrive. He has shown some resource guarding behavior around food, and despite professional training and our best efforts, this behavior has led to a few bites. Because of this, Finn cannot be in a home with children and needs an experienced, adult-only household who understands dog behavior and can continue to manage and work with him in a safe, structured environment. In the right home, Finn will be a devoted and delightful companion. He loves people and other dogs when properly introduced, and he's happiest when he can be part of daily life with his humans. We want to give him the best chance to live safely and happily, with someone who has the time, patience, and experience to help him succeed.
