About Gunner

Gunner is a 12-week-old pup who came into rescue after he and his littermates were removed from their home in a neglect case by the Delaware County sheriff. Despite his rough start, Gunner is thriving in his foster home and showing what a sweet, affectionate little guy he is. Gunner's DNA includes several intelligent breeds - Australian Shepherd, Border Collie, Labrador Retriever, Rottweiler, and Pit Bull. He is smart and eager to learn. He currently weighs 15 pounds and will grow into a larger adult. Gunner loves toys, chew bones, and his soft, comfy bed. He's already sleeping through the night and has potty training figured out. He balances playtime and cuddles perfectly. Gunner is always up for snuggles and pets. He's learning a lot from the adult dogs in his foster home and watches them do something and then mimics it. He play bows, wrestles with his housemates, and then crashes for a nap. Sometimes he gets lucky enough to curl up for a nap snuggled up to one of the bigger dogs. Gunner will need a physically fenced yard so he can safely run and explore. While he's still very much a baby and enjoys plenty of naps, his calm, affectionate nature makes him the perfect companion for a family ready to help him grow.
