About Ellie Mae

Ellie Mae is the perfect, middle-of-the-pack type o' gal. She gets along with everyone, is on the submissive side, doesn't have a need to be in the spotlight, and isn't too naughty - but does love a good shoe steal. Ellie Mae is around a year old and just shy of 60 lbs. She joined MHCR from a very underfunded, rural shelter in Texas where she was facing euthanasia due to lack of space. We were thrilled to welcome her to a home upon arrival to CO where she quickly settled into home living. Ellie Mae is great in a crate and LOVES to be outside (she's a big fan of dog doors). We suspect she's a Pyrenees/Flat Coat Retriever mix and therefore will enjoy a nice, big, backyard. A busy house, loud home with lots of noise and ruckus is not really her jam.
