URGENT Surrender for Adoption Request. Please meet Dexter: he is a 7-year-old Anatolian Shepherd in need of foster care and adoption. He is a 96 lb. gentle giant, is in good overall health, has recently passed his Vet Health and Wellness examination, and is up to date on all of his vaccinations. Micro-chipped. Neutered. He walks well on leash, loves to ride in the car, is playful, appreciative of attention, and likes to give kisses. He may not be a good fit in a family with cats but gets along with other mellow dogs. His dad was recently hospitalized in critical condition due to an unforeseen event and is unable to care for Dexter anymore. Dex is currently living alone in an RV on a residential side street by himself in Emeryville (between Berkeley & Oakland). He is being cared for by a small team of neighborhood volunteers who walk him and bring him food and water. A further complication that lends urgency to Dexter's situation is the RV he is living in could be towed at any time by the city. If that happens it would be a crisis situation we would like to avoid. Please reach out to me and I'll be happy to talk with you about Dexter and introduce you to him. Thank you for your consideration and remember to love and hug all of your beautiful pets.
