Age: 8 years Breed: Yorkshire Terrier mix Currently: in foster care, learning to trust again Her story Lilly came to us as an unwanted inheritance - scared, neglected, and in pain. Her skin was constantly itching and burning, and her eyelids were turned inward her whole life, scratching her eyes until they became cloudy. First, we focused on bringing her some peace: medication, soothing baths, and hypoallergenic food. And on August 7th, 2025, Lilly finally had eye surgery. After waking up, she opened her eyes - and we could see her happiness. Suddenly, she was active, curious, alive again. Now, only sterilization remains - and then she'll be ready for her forever home. A calm, patient, loving home. Health & care After eye surgery - her comfort and quality of life greatly improved On hypoallergenic food, which suits her well Will be sterilized before adoption Personality Initially shy and fearful; may show her teeth when scared Deeply loyal - she loves her people and protects them Clean and housetrained Doesn't like being alone in a new environment, but with time she's learned to wait calmly at home What she loves Belly rubs (never enough of those!) Quiet walks in nature, away from crowds and noisy places Best match for Lilly She would do well: In an apartment or calm home With an experienced and patient owner who understands fearful dogs With another calm, well-mannered dog (after careful introduction) With cats (with proper and slow introduction) She's not suitable: For a yard-only life - she needs to be with her people For families with small children For very active or inexperienced owners What she needs from you Lilly needs someone who understands that love sometimes means patience. Someone who will give her time to trust and to feel safe again. In return, she'll give you endless loyalty, warmth, and gratitude.
