%90%BE Looking for a new home for HUGO (external adoption) With a heavy heart, we are looking for a new home for our beloved Hugo. Due to a major change in our family situation, we can no longer give him the amount of activity, training, and structure that a young Australian Shepherd truly needs. After months of trying and consulting with trainers, we've come to realize that the best thing for him is to find a place where he can thrive - where he'll have someone who can give him time, guidance, and love. Hugo is a young, cheerful, and curious dog with enormous potential. He's friendly, social, and shows no signs of aggression - a big, gentle soul who loves people, dogs, and life itself. Like every Australian Shepherd, he's energetic, intelligent, and sensitive. With clear boundaries, patience, and mental stimulation, he becomes a wonderful companion for an active person or family who enjoys spending time outdoors. Basic information Name: Hugo Breed: Australian Shepherd Age: 1.5 years (born March 8, 2024) Size: large (approx. 30 kg / 61+ cm) Sex: male No pedigree, not neutered (no requirement for castration) Microchipped, fully vaccinated, regularly dewormed and protected against parasites Has an international vaccination booklet Pet insurance: ~500 CZK/month (can be transferred or canceled) Fed high-quality kibble twice daily %90 Temperament and behavior Friendly, social, and non-aggressive Used to living with a child (6 years old) Very energetic - may jump up or misjudge his strength when excited Pulls on the leash outdoors - needs a handler with physical strength and leadership Loves other dogs, very playful; with small dogs, supervision is needed ('too big of a good boy') Lived with a cat - playful but respectful once boundaries are set In a calm routine, he's very attentive and eager to learn Commands he knows: sit, down, come, off, quiet, leave it Recall outdoors still needs work Handles being home alone well (no barking, no destruction) Used to car rides, bathing, brushing, nail trimming (with treats), and vet visits House-trained Not crate-trained %8F The ideal home We're looking for an active and patient person or family, ideally with experience with herding breeds or working/sport dogs. A house with a garden would be great, but he could also live in an apartment - what matters most is daily exercise, mental stimulation, and training (obedience, canicross, dog trekking, nosework, etc.). %9D Not just for the backyard. %9D Not for complete beginners. Z%81 What you'll get with Hugo We'll provide everything to make his transition smooth: 2 beds at least 12 kg of high-quality food leash, long line, anti-pull bungee leash universal harness (including front-clip) canicross harness for the person muzzle, bowls (including non-spill car bowl) toys and treat pouch | Practical info Currently located in Prague 6 (Czech Republic) We can transport him anywhere within the Czech Republic Adoption fee: 0 CZK - what matters is the right home We're happy to meet for an introductory walk Adoption agreement upon mutual consent
