About Milo

My name is Milo! It is pronounced 'Mee-lo.' As you can see, I am a beautiful, stunning Black Labrador Retriever. I am 18 months old and a full-grown 72 lbs. I am a well-loved boy but unfortunately, my owner is in a situation where they can no longer care for me and provide me what I need. I am what you would think a lab would be! I am active, I am friendly and I am ready to go on adventures. I love dogs - all of them - and want to play and play and run all the time. I am a big and strong brut of a lab but I am also submissive. If I feel that a dog is unhappy with me, I won't push it. I frequent the dog park (when the crowd is good) and have many friends! However, the smaller more delicate dogs will not appreciate my jovial nature and greetings so dogs my size and level of play are good until I learn just a tad more self-control. I am good with cats too! I love people too - big and small. However, the small ones may not like my style. Sometimes I don't know my size so savvy kids 8+ is best for me. I love to go on walks but I am a strong guy so the right gear is necessary. I also love to swim and I am good in the car. I am a big friendly lab who is eager to have a lot of fun, give a lot of affection and be part of a dedicated family. My new family needs to be willing to commit to some training with me early on and my handlers should be experienced with large dogs. I need a bit of consistency, structure, exercise and something to work my mind. I love to play fetch and once I settle in, I can chew on a ball for hours! A fenced in yard is required for me and an active and social family is totally up my alley. I am located in NJ.
