About Elmer

We are not sure just how senior Mr. Elmer is - but we are certain his eyelash are white, and his attitude is easy like Sunday Morning. Please don't ask him for any change- he will come up short. Keep him with you while baking so you won't be short on shortening. And he has come a long way from being short tempered. Elmer is all smiles now - but can still be a little grumpy- not aggressive. Please be patient with Mr. Elmer- he did not come from the best circumstances- it is certain he was left behind - and learns everyday how to be a good boy. He loves meeting new people - and loves to be outside. Do you think you could be the family that Mr. Elmer deserves? :) Note: Elmer just had his first trunk or treat! Children big and small were giving him hugs and pets! He was bashful in his caterpillar costume at first- but he sure warmed up to the crowd as soon as he got those pets! The costumes didn't scare him one bit- nor did the little children giving him hugs. Elmer saw other dogs in costumes and didn't seem bothered at all :). Hello there the adoption fee is $20.00 CASH OR CHECK it is low as we do not spay/neuter our animals or vaccinate as we do not have a vet on site. Upon adoption you would sign a legal contract stating that within sixty days you will get them sterilized and vaccinated per state requirement. Sometimes due to age or complications the 60 day window can be extended however only by a vets discretion. Your contract is not fulfilled and your adoption of the pet cannot be successfully closed until proof of sterilization and vaccination is provided to us from the adopter. You may come to the shelter any day of the week between 8 am and 4:30 pm, just please give us a call beforehand to let us know you are coming at 281 291 5644. Thank you!
