Sensitive, sweet boy, Panama entered the shelter in early August with 3 other dogs (male Brazil A2213856 & female Belize A2213861 still waiting) when the vehicle they were living in was towed.!They all spent a month stuck in their kennels on a 'personal property' hold giving their owner a chance to redeem. Now that volunteers are getting to know him, Panama is quickly becoming a favorite! He's a soft, shy guy who needs time to warm up and feel comfortable. But volunteers can see how badly Panama wants to connect. He is GENTLE and SWEET when he gets the chance to get out of the kennel and spend time with his human friends. He is also starting to open up and show his playful side with other dogs, gaining more confidence in shelter playgroups. The shelter is no place for a sensitive soul like Panama though! He has notes of defensive and fearful behavior in kennel and this has, sadly, landed him on the Euth List. He will be euthanized on Sun 10/26 if he is not adopted or rescued by THIS SAT 10/25 EOD!!!! He has made so much progress after all he has been through- we cannot stand the thought of our friend not making it out of here safely! Please help! We believe Panama would do best with an experienced adopter who can provide him the structure and time he needs to feel safe and open up. This lovely boy needs his person to step up for him ASAP!
