Meet Benjamin Franklin! ��%90%BE Yes, his name is really Benjamin Franklin. Originally, his foster family intended to call him 'Ben,' but after trying Ben, Bennie, Benny, and even 'Benny and the Jets,' he only responded to the full name-so Benjamin Franklin it is! This 6-month-old Aussie mix is 31 lbs of near-perfection (okay, maybe kinda perfect). He's potty and dog door trained and has made great progress on leash walks. Thanks to his Aussie side, he has a moderate amount of energy-not hyper, but definitely ready for playtime and adventures. Benjamin is a low shedder, doesn't bark, and loves to cuddle. He's smart, playful, and great with kids. He adores bones and toys and gets along wonderfully with dogs of all sizes. Like any puppy, he might try to taste a shoe or two, but he's generally well-behaved and eager to learn. A few things to know: Benjamin has a strong aversion to crates. Despite trying everything, he gets very stressed when crated. With a secure fenced yard and a home where someone is present most of the time, he thrives. He functions beautifully with dog doors and freedom to explore safely, but long periods confined indoors aren't a good fit at this time.
