About Cricket

Australian Kelpie mix
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Female

I took this pup in off the street, I think she is around 2 years old, and I also think she is an Australian Kelpie. She is 30 pounds, and very smart, and has great potential with someone who has a farm, or a yard that she can run and hunt lizards in. She is most definitely a hunting and working dog and gets laser focused on something she is tracking, it's pretty impressive. She has just become too strong for me and needs an alpha who can work with her. She is very reactive on the leash, and the leash might be her main problem but I can't get her to act right. She doesn't like bicycles, scooters, golf carts, anything really with wheels or moving fast, she freaks out and pulls and barks. I do not know her past history but she showed up injured and I took her in. I have only tried to interact with dogs while she is on a leash, not off leash, and she always barks and freaks out, but again I'm not sure if its the leash that is different to her. She might be good with other dogs off leash. She does like little kids, and has gotten much better with humans in general since I have had her. She has had her 5 weeks of heat in my care, now she is ready to be spayed. She just seems to be scared and anxious and needs someone strong and who can handle her. PLEASE someone help this sweet girl. I can provide more pictures and videos...she is an absolute sweetheart, just fearful and needs work and time. Please!!!!
