Hello! I'm looking for a home for a sweet 5-month-old orange kitty. A day ago, around 1 pm, we found a stray kitten wandering around the Avenue area in Murfreesboro. He was attempting to cross dangerous areas with moving cars and people. We decided to go back to our house, retrieve a cat carrier we used for our other cats, and go back to scoop him up. We took him straight to our regular vet clinic, Animal Medical Center, for a walk-in to get him checked and for guidance on how to help him. We paid for bloodwork, a feline combo test, which came back great, vaccines, fecal test, and deworming. They also checked for microchips, but nothing was found. The issue is that I already have two other cats at home. One of my cats gets stressed out very easily after some tough health issues he endured last year. He had a PU surgery, and we try to keep his stress very low all the time. I talked to the vet about this, as they already know him, and they said that introducing a new cat is a risk and that we could try to do it very slowly and carefully by keeping the stray kitty in a separate room, but it had to be done slowly and carefully. She also talked to us about some rescue organizations, and I emailed two of them, but they are at full capacity and not accepting any new cats. She also told us about a shelter called Paws; however, she did not recommend it, as they are a kill shelter, and cats get euthanized for space if they are not adopted fast enough. We could not release him back out on the streets and see him suffer, so we decided to take him in our smallest room and set him up there. So we're currently fostering . We bought him a litter box and have been litter training him, and thankfully, he's getting the hang of it. He's also eating wet and dry food and has been drinking water. We just don't know if we might keep him and do things slowly, but in any case, we do try to introduce him slowly and it doesn't work out, I need a plan B for him to be taken in and eventually adopted. We have named him patrick and he is the sweetest cat with a cuddly attitude and extremely friendly with people. He also is good with eating and drinking etc. He's a very sweet boy, and we want the best for him. We also don't want to keep him in a small room for too long and have him be cooped up because of my situation. If anyone is interested please let me know!
