Rosa's story is a heartbreaking one. Her life was turned upside down due to a family tragedy. Rosa is around 7-8 years old. She is the absolute sweetest girl and loves hanging out with her humans. Rosa loves her neighborhood walks and is easy to walk and would make a great companion for a family looking for a couch potato and easy walking companion. Rosa is overweight and needs to continue her weight loss plan with measured feedings and regular exercise. When Rosa first came into rescue it was determined that she had a bladder full of stones...200 to be exact! This required immediate surgery to clear the stones. She will now require a special prescription diet for the remainder of her life. She also has been on two medications to help her bladder maintain tone and may always need these. Her new family should be able to commit to this to prevent her from having her bladder stones reoccur. She has been the best dog in her foster home. She gets along with dogs, cats and kids. She is house trained. She prefers to be loose in the house and does well. She is becoming more playful now that she is feeling better. She would love a family that is looking for an easy going, laid back companion, content with getting belly rubs, sunbathing on the porch and taking leisure walks around the neighborhood. If you can make Rosa's last years her best, please apply to adopt!
