About Cooper

Sweet foster pup needs a forever home. We're not sure of his age but believe him to be around 1.5 - 2 years. I think he is a Black Mouth Cur type dog and really exhibits the traits of the breed. This guy is very athletic & has a muscular body composition. He's very affectionate and has so much love to give! He gets along great with other dogs and absolutely loves to play. He's very respectful of cats and gives them a lot of space. For some reason, his canine teeth have been filed down so they are no longer pointed. We're not sure why anyone would do that to a dog but it's been suggested that perhaps it was for bird hunting purposes. There's evidence of an injury on his left hind leg that had healed completely prior to us finding him. There's a line in his coat which seems like a scar and that left hind leg is ever so slightly underdeveloped compared to his right hind leg. But, neither of these issues slow him down at all. He eats like normal and is active & sure-footed. We did have him neutered and completely vaccinated. So, he's all ready to be the love of someone's life! I don't think you could find a dog who would be more sweet & loyal than this guy.
