About Cass

Meet Cass Cass is a 1.5-year-old, smooth-coated Border Collie with the gentlest soul and a heart full of love. His foster describes him perfectly: 'He's the calmest Border Collie I've ever been around. An old soul with his whole life ahead of him to make memories with his forever person.' Cass loves going for walks and is wonderful both on and off leash. He's the ideal adventure buddy - happy to tag along on hikes, car rides, or even side-by-side rides. Wherever you go, Cass is ready to be by your side. At home, Cass is a quiet, easygoing companion. He hasn't barked once in his foster home (even when the other dogs do!) and is content just being near his people - often curled up at his foster's feet while she works. He lives with kids and other animals and has taken to everyone with his sweet, gentle nature and signature nudge asking for pets. Cass has also met the foster's cats. While he's curious and keeps a very focued eye on them, he's been respectful thus far and has shown no aggression. He gets along well with the other dogs in the home (a Mini Aussie and an Aussie/BC mix), though he's more of a 'run around together' guy than a rough-and-tumble playmate. Cass has proven himself to be a truly special dog - patient, kind, and full of quiet affection. He's ready to be someone's devoted companion and adventure partner. Cass would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time. He's not a loner - he wants to share his days and nights with his people. An active person or family with a fenced yard or some acreage would be perfect for him.
