TRANSPORT IS AVAILABLE ANYWHERE IN USA! Hi my name is Dani and me and my family have been fostering a really sweet dog who needs help. His name is Togo and he is going to be euthanized in 2 weeks or less if he doesn't get adopted. We can't keep fostering him because we are going to be moving and the pound won't help us with anything not even with food. My Mom is a single mom and there are 8 of us kids and we have 3 dogs of our own. Togo has been looking for his forever home for over a year and if he doesn't get help, he's going to be euthanized. Transport is available as well, he will be able to go to ANY state in the US. If you can PLEASE share his story, we don't want him euthanized and we LOVE him. If you can help him PLEASE let me know because we really, really love him and the only thing the shelter in our area can do is euthanize them. Here is his story: %BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%90%BE TOGO: The Dog Who Was Thrown Away-But Never Gave Up %BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%90%BE Breed: Siberian Husky Gender: Male Age:Approximately 1.5 years ____________________________________________________________________________ Before You Read, Know This: This is not just a dog profile. This is the true story of a survivor. A soul who was broken-but never bitter. A spirit who was abandoned, starved, infected, and forgotten. But he never stopped loving. Never stopped hoping. Never gave up. ____________________________________________________________________________ Togo's story begins the way far too many do - behind glass. He was a tiny, blue-eyed husky pup sitting in a brightly lit cage in Petland in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The kind of puppy you see through the window and can't look away from. He had oversized ears, a snowy coat with grey accents, and eyes so blue they looked like frozen lakes. People pointed. Children begged. Adults oohed and aahed. And then, one day, he was bought-just like that. A young man walked in, put down the money, and walked out with a puppy. No background check. No vet reference. No screening. No preparation. Togo was treated like a novelty. A 'cool dog.' A status symbol. But huskies are not accessories. They're not quiet, obedient lap dogs. They're energetic, smart, independent, and strong-willed. They require patience. Experience. Time. By the time Togo was six or seven months old-just barely out of puppyhood-his 'owner' decided he didn't want him anymore. No surrender to a shelter. No search for a rescue. No rehoming through responsible channels. Instead, the man handed him off to someone. Someone who promised to 'take care of it.' And that was that. Togo was passed away like an unwanted toy. But his story was about to get worse. The people who took Togo didn't keep him. One day, he just wandered up to our house. The day Togo arrived at our door, he didn't bark. He didn't beg. He didn't make a sound. He walked slowly up our driveway, eyes down, tail wagging And when we crouched down, gently, quietly-he pressed his head into our chest and sighed. That was when we saw it all: His ribs, sharply visible under his fur. His hips, protruding like jagged stones. The flea dirt across his back. The hungry look in his glacier-blue eyes. And yet, despite all of that%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD'%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD| He didn't growl. He didn't flinch. He leaned into us. Like he was saying, 'Please. Just love me. Please don't send me away.' We brought Togo to the vet But we weren't prepared for just how sick he was. Heartworm positive. Severely infested with hookworms and tapeworms. Dehydrated. Malnourished. Recovery was not easy. But the most incredible thing? He never stopped loving. He was grateful for everything. A blanket. A toy. A gentle touch. A quiet word. He would rest his head on our lap with the weight of someone who had finally, finally found peace. He never snapped. Never growled. Never lashed out. Despite all the betrayal-he only gave love. Today, Togo is a transformed dog-stronger, healthier, happier. But what makes him special is not just how far he's come- It's who he is, deep down. Togo is: %BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%90%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD Dog-Friendly: He thrives with other dogs. He lights up when he has a canine companion. He loves to wrestle, run, and cuddle with other pups.
