I'm looking for a responsible rescue or experienced handler to help rehome my 3-year-old Mini Aussiedoodle, Nova. This is not an easy decision, but it's the safest one for everyone including her. Nova is very affectionate and loving toward trusted adult handlers. She's spayed, up to date on shots, healthy, and has a sweet personality with people she knows well. However, she has a bite history and serious behavioral concerns: 'ۢ She bit my cousin's young daughter, causing a wound that bled (thankfully it healed fine). 'ۢ She has nipped at other children and shows consistent reactivity toward kids who aren't part of our household. 'ۢ She has not bitten my own children, but due to her behavior toward others, I can't safely keep her. 'ۢ She has attacked my other dog, Duke, multiple times, including biting his neck during fights (one resulted in an infection). 'ۢ She tends to ignore warning signals from other dogs and escalates conflict rather than backing down. 'ۢ She and Duke had an accidental litter of two puppies, but both were placed in good homes and both dogs were fixed immediately afterward. Nova needs an adult-only home with no other pets and someone experienced with behavioral dogs who can give her the structured environment she needs. I'll provide full behavioral and medical history and am happy to work with a reputable rescue to place her safely.
