About Maggie

Maggie is a spayed four year old 25%Aussie/50%Mini-Aussie/25%Mutt mix. She weighs 35-40 pounds. She is an extremely loyal and protective dog. She gets along well with most other dogs and plays well at the dog park. She is well-behaved on and off leash, even moreso after good exercise. She does struggle with anxiety when visitors come to our home, although she generally warms up after visitors feed her a few treats. She is crate trained and likes sleeping in her crate. She obediently goes to her crate when asked. She is highly motivated by positive reinforcement (as well as negative reinforcement from her training collar) and likes toys that challenge her mentally. She will play catch until she gets tired. She likes to play in water and loves to chase ducks. She is patient with kids and loves to lick and kiss them, especially toddlers who are eye-level with her. Maggie would do best in a home where someone who can interact with her is home all day. She also needs a good place to run and play and would probably do best as the only pet in the home.
