TOBY MAC is the most precious Moyen Poodle you're ever going to meet! He'll turn three years old on December 5th, and he weighs just under 21 pounds. TOBY MAC is a friendly bundle of energy who loves everyone he meets, but is especially devoted to his lucky person. He bonds deeply and sometimes struggles with boundaries, but it's all rooted in love and loyalty. He's a joyful jumper who greets his people with happy hops. We're working on helping him calm that enthusiasm, but when he sees you, he's just so excited he can hardly contain himself. He is not the kind of dog who will be happy spending hours away from his person. TOBY MAC is smart, athletic, and determined. He is housebroken and can clear a chain-link fence or baby gate without hesitation, and will if his person is not with him. Because of that, a very secure, fully enclosed, privacy-fenced yard is absolutely required. No exceptions. TOBY MAC is happy, playful, and loves to do zoomies, in the yard or right through the house (he's not picky!). He's recently discovered how much fun toys are and isn't above snatching one from another dog mid-run. Speaking of other dogs, TOBY MAC will do best with another playful dog in the home, ideally between 15-30 pounds, big enough to keep up with his energy but not so small that he bowls them over in excitement. Because of his exuberant nature, he's not a good match for small children, who might accidentally get knocked down in his joy. We do not know how he would be with cats. TOBY MAC sleeps at the foot of the bed but likes to come up for a few nighttime snuggles. He's not a bit kisser, but when he presses his nose gently against yours and looks right into your soul, you'll know he loves you. TOBY MAC is incredibly smart and trainable, and a training class would be wonderful for him (and fun for you!). With structure, attention, and lots of love, this special boy will grow into one of the best companions you could ever ask for. TOBY MAC is neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, has had a ProHeart 12 heartworm prevention shot, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. *A Place of Hope Rescue is a foster-based rescue located in Pensacola, Florida.
