About Dakota

Dakota-affectionately known as Ducky-is a super sweet, playful young dog who's ready to find her perfect match! She's full of energy, loves to play, and would thrive in an active household where she can get plenty of exercise, love, and attention. Dakota is crate trained and knows several fun tricks including sit, paw, circle, and spin (we're still working on 'lay down'!). She loves toys, playing fetch, and catching treats mid-air-she's got great aim! She can get very excited when guests come over, but once she's greeted everyone, she settles down quickly. During BBQs or get-togethers, she often lounges on the couch or curls up for cuddles after a few minutes of playtime. Because Dakota plays a little too rough with smaller dogs, she'll do best in a home where she's the only dog. She deserves a loving family who can give her the attention and activity she craves. For training, she's been doing well with an e-collar, which helps her stay focused and responsive-especially since her current owners are older and she's quite strong. We're happy to send her with the collar if her new family would like to continue using it. Dakota is a loyal, affectionate, and smart companion who will make a wonderful best friend for someone who can match her energy and give her a one-on-one bond.
