About Marley

Little Marley was found running in the streets. Luckily she was picked up before she was injured by a car or a bigger animal. Marley is a tiny girl at about 5-6 pounds. Marley is very shy on initial meeting but given time she warms up and becomes a silly, friendly and loving girl who loves attention, to be in your lap, curl under a blanket and sleep in bed with you. She enjoys eating bits of banana & sweet potato too. Marley is also very fond of belly rubs, the longer the better in her opinion! She is also a very pretty girl with a unusual white and grey merle coat similar to a dapple Dachschund. She is good with other dogs but we do not know what she thinks of cats. Due to her small size & shyness, a home without young children is preferred. Marley can dig under fences so a secure home and someone to watch over her in the yard is a must for this girl. If you can give Marley the time and patience to warm up at her own speed, you will be rewarded with a very loving girl. Marley is about a year old. Please help Marley find the loving home she deserves. Update: Marley tested positive for Ehrlichia, a common tick borne disease similar to Lymes. She is on a short course of oral antibiotic and is doing great. She is still available for adoption and any remaining pills will be sent home for completion with her new family. ***You must provide a vet reference for a current or past pet you have/had.*** We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821). Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.
