Kali's journey hasn't been easy, but she's handled it all with quiet grace. After being rescued while pregnant and facing a sad fate, this brave girl came to AHeinz, where she found a loving foster and safely welcomed her adorable 'MOO' puppies. Her babies are now weaned and looking for homes - so now it's her turn to be someone's baby. ��ե Kali is a shy sweetheart who just needs a little patience to realize that people can be kind. Once she bonds, though? Get ready for the most loyal little shadow you've ever had. She'll follow you from room to room, offering unconditional love and the frequent soulful stare. Kali loves her crate as a safe place but doesn't need to be confined. She's housebroken, non-destructive, smart, and loves to learn (especially if treats are involved). She does great with other dogs, enjoys walks (though some people she sees still make her nervous), and will happily curl up for snuggles once she feels safe. She hasn't met any cats yet but can be cat-tested upon request. Kali's ideal home would be calm and understanding - with older kids only, since loud noises and sudden movements can make her uneasy, as do young men. Her foster is working to build her confidence with new people but she will continue to need support and a compassionate approach from her forever home so she can continue gaining confidence over time.
