About Bear

Bear is around 8 years old and like his 'brother' Moose, also on this website, is sweet and smart. Bear and his 'brother' Moose have been shuffled around since their original owner passed away. Ideally, the boys could stay together, but if you have space in your home and heart for just one, that's okay, too. Moose and Bear need a permanent and loving home because our other dog attacks them and will not accept them. I'm sad that they have now become outside-only dogs; they deserve much better. They have been with us about 7 weeks. Bear is friendly to everyone he meets but is a little unsure in new situations. He loves to take walks and walks extremely well on leash with only gentle correction, but hip dysplasia keeps him from long walks, so he might be good for an older person/couple. Bear enjoys a gentle game of fetch with a tennis ball. He knows a lot of commands and is quickly obedient. He is crate trained if the crate is large enough for him to turn around, but it's unknown for how long he can stay in. He is good with smaller female dogs but because of our other male dog that bullied him, I suggest caution with any other male dogs except his 'brother' Moose. Bear is microchipped. Bear and Moose are wonderful companions to hang around with for company and will follow you from room to room. Please consider one or both of these boys to join your family soon!
