Max is about 4-5 years old and was adopted from the Philadelphia SPCA and is now looking for a new home through no fault of his own. I've had him for about a year and he's an amazing boy. Unfortunately I have major medical issues that are progressing that were unforeseen when I adopted him and as I live alone I can't continue to care for him the way he needs to be. He's great with older children (I've had him around children from ages 17 and up) but I've never had him around littles. He's very solid on basic obedience and is good on a leash and halter. He likes my neighbor's female dog but I have seen him show some reactivity towards male dogs due to abuse he endured before I adopted him. I believe with training he could overcome this. He's fine with cats and shows no interest in wild animals whatsoever when we're outside. He doesn't chase or bark at deer, squirrels, rabbits, etc. He's pretty low energy indoors and is happy to be a couch potato but would love a yard to play in. He's a big boy at about 120 lbs and is a great protector. He will bark to alert to strangers but he's not a problem barker. He's due for his rabies vaccine and he will probably need to have his ears and nails cleaned/clipped professionally because he's very averse to having them handled. The $50 adoption fee may be applied towards a vet visit to take care of the vaccinations he needs and getting his nails clipped, etc. I don't want it to come to me. Give this big cuddle bug a chance and he'll steal your heart. Texting is easiest when contacting me.
