Jewel came into rescue as a breeder surrender. Jewel is a very special girl who is looking for someone who can help her come out of her shell and shine like a gem. You see, Jewel spent her life in a breeding facility. She doesn't know how to be a dog. She has made some progress in her foster home but needs the right environment to reach her full potential. Jewel is a sweet and intelligent girl, who loves cuddling up with her favorite person on a nice warm bed or sofa. She is learning how to walk on a leash and enjoys watching 'Pet TV.' Jewel tends to cling tightly to one person and can get possessive when she's with that person. She's also very skittish. This precious girl would do best in a home with a very patient person who understands that Jewel still has a lot to learn. She would benefit from having other well-balanced dogs around. They can teach her how to just be a dog. Because she is fearful and jumpy, a quiet environment would be preferable with someone home more often than not. Jewel is available for adoption after her spay on 10/23. She is vaccinated, microchipped, and heartworm negative. She is being fostered in Columbus, OH and is available for an adoption fee of $400.00.
