Kenwood lost his home and family due to unfortunate and unavoidable circumstances, and now he is looking to start over in middle age. He is a very chill fellow who loves to be held and petted, sleeps on the bed with his humans, and purrs easily. Given his age, he is not very energetic, but he has occasional moments of playfulness. He does not join in the rowdy feline antics in his foster home. Most of his time is spent lounging somewhere soft and hoping passers-by will stop and pet him. Kenwood hates being alone, but he loves humans and other friendly cats. He will cry and cry when alone, so he needs a home where he will have companions home with him all the time, whether friendly felines or gentle humans. His foster home also has another large male cat the same age, and Kenwood has not tried to challenge his position as the top cat, but simply chooses to keep his distance and keep the peace, while actively engaging with the friendlier cats. He is shy about meeting new people but warms up quickly. Kids who are calm around him are fine with him. We don't yet know what he thinks of dogs. In all other ways, Kenwood is all you could ask for in an adult cat: easygoing, clean, reliable with the litter box, likes attention and to be nearby, but not always in your face about it. He is a sweet floof who needs a true forever home. Is that your home?
